Overall, there was an upward trend in the quantity of visitors, the revenue of tourism annually, and the amount of money spent on a visit over the given years. Additionally, the average nights spent in the Uk by visitors experienced a significant decline by the end of the period.
Turning to the details, from 2003 to 2007, the number of people visiting the Uk increased considerably from 24.715 to 32.778 million people, but then a slight decrease to 31.88 million people was witnessed in 2008. Whereas, the annual revenue gained from tourists underwent a dramatic growth from11.855 to 16.002 billion pounds after 4 years.
