Essay topics:

The table below shows the sales at a small restaurant in a downtown business district.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given table gives an idea about the business done by a small resturant located in a commercial area of the centre of city between seven and thirteen October. In general the trend in the data suggests that the resturant does better business during weekdays as compared to weekends. Besides that, the sale during dinner time is much better than that during lunch.

At first, when we compare between the amount generated from lunch on different days, it is found to be highest on Wednesday and lowest on Sunday. Whereas the sale was within a range of $ 2375 - 2500 between Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Saturday was found to be second lowest income day for the resturant.

Secondly, when we look at the sales figures during dinner on the same days, Friday not only peaked among dinner sales of the rest of the days, but indeed shows the best sales figures among the lunch and dinner sales throughout the week.. Like the trend of less business during lunch on weekends, the dinners too generated less revenue during Saturday and Sunday. Rest other days were in range of $3445-3800. Overall when compared between lunch and dinner on any given day, the sales during dinner was much better than that during lunch.
