The table illustrates the percentage of student attending to 4 different school type in 2000, 2005, and 2009. According to table in 2000 voluntary-controlled schools were the most attended with 52%. Even though its numbers dropped to 38% in 2005 they still had highest number of attendance. But in 2009 they were overthrown by community schools which reached 58% percent. Before this, the least number of pupils went to community schools in 2000 alongside with specialist schools. It rose to 38 percent by 2005, although wasn't ranked first untill 2009.
Specialist schools were the least attended type of school in every year and followed a slight downward path from 12% in 2000 to 11% in 2005 to 10% in 2009.
Grammar schools were ranked second, only behind voluntary-controlled schools, in 2000. But were left behind by community schools and ranked the third in 2005 and 2009 with 19% and 12% respectively.
