Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie chart below illustrates the employment occupation by Males and Females in Great Britain in 1992. It displays information of 6 types of jobs which are grouped into Manual and Non-Manual. It can be seen in the graph that the occupation trends by both genders is different.

In 1992, major type of occupations by Female belong by females belong to Non-Manual where as in Males the jobs are spread across both Manual and Non-manual jobs. Managerial and professional jobs accounted for the highest percentage whereas Clerical or related type jobs topped the female’s occupation. There is a vast difference between the percentage of males and females working in craft or similar jobs: 24% males are employed in this jobs while only 5% of females choose this profession.

Apart from these differences there are also some similarities in the patterns. The percentage of employees who choose Craft and similar jobs are very similar which is also the least selected profession by both males and females.
