The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write at least 150 words

The line chart illustrates the number of enquiries that a Tourist Information Office has received in a particular city from January to June in the year 2011. Overall, we can see a steady increase in the enquiries made in person and a gradual decrease in the email and letter enquiries from Jan to June. The enquiries made by telephone had fluctuated a bit till March and then saw a steady increase from April.

We can almost see no difference in the number of enquiries made by telephone in the months of March and April. There were exactly 1000 enquiries by phone in those two months. Though in January, the least number of enquiries were done in person, the same personal enquiries have topped the list by the end of June, it being over 1800 in count. People have gradually retained themselves from using letters and emails as mediums of enquiry by June. June saw only 400 enquiries through Letters/emails. In February, the number of enquiries made by the three mediums has a difference of only 100 each, 600 in person, 700 by letters and 800 by telephone. The number of enquiries has reached the highest in June almost around 4000 among which personal enquiries were the highest in number whereas enquiries by letter were the lowest.
