The company you work for has decided to close the cafeteria as staff are not using it much. You are unhappy about it. Write a letter to the supervisor / director (someone in authority)
- Asking not to close it
- Inform what feel is the cause of staff not using it.
- How can things be improved in the cafeteria.
Dear Sir,
I intend to write this letter to grab your attention over a serious concern. Staff got to know about the management decision to shut down the cafeteria as fewer people are utilizing it. I request you to review your decision as it will be a troublesome situation for those employees who are using it regularly having no other sources for lunch meals. Particularly, people from other cities working here, solely rely on café food not only for lunches but also for breakfasts.
I have been working in this company for 3 years. When I joined we had a different café management. They used to provide quality food, extended menu with reasonable prices. Upon contract completion; new vendor took the charge who is currently operating. There are certain areas of improvement; this vendor needs to work upon. The team badly lacks in food taste and variety and on the top, items are overpriced. These are the main causes due to which employees have stopped eating from café.
Improvement can be brought in current café management to attract the employees back to café. First of all, the admin needs to revise the menu and bring new continental dishes rather than serving conventional dishes. Secondly, there should be different combo's available such as providing dessert and drink in subsidized rates along with the main course meal. Alongside regular daily dishes, there must be a salad bar and fresh juice corner for diet conscious people. I am sure with these changes; the employee will start utilizing the cafeteria again.
Looking forward to your positive response on this.
Yours Sincerely,
Sam
