Local in your community wants to close down the sports and relaxation centre due to lack of funds.
Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to you in connection with the proposed closing down of the sports and relaxation centre in Birmingham. I am imploring you, to please reconsider your decision for the benefits of the community. My father and I use the facilities at the sports centre to keep fit and my grandparents also use the place for their dance training which keeps the agile and healthy, it is also a place where they meet up with their friends. My sister, Sarah, also use the swimming facilities to practice for the next Olympic competition in which she is representing United Kingdom.
Needless to say, the news to close down this facilities came as a shock to us because we have just two of this type of centre and the entire community depends solely on them. We are a community of over 10,000 and we are actually hoping to have more of such centres and not have it reduced. For instance, children often gather to play here in the evenings, adults too use this facilities for different purposes and the teenagers use the indoor games facilities to keep them busy and fit.
However, I am of the opinion that if this centre is shutdown it will have a negative impact on the teens because they will be idle and may increase their chances of engaging in bad malpractices. The community as whole will be sad and may have a setback on their health as many people live a sedentary lifestyles.
I am hoping you will reconsider your decisions, if money is the only issue as the advantaged it provides far outweighs finance.
