Many children are encouraged by their parents to get a part time job in their free time. What are the advantages and disadvantages to children of doing so.

in today's chaotic world in which the worth of individuals is determined by their accomplishment, one thing is sure, that preparing children for the future adult life is fundamental. people may have different attitudes toward best ways of preparing their children for the future and the one which recently has attracted more attention is encouraging young children to take a part-time job. as far as I am concerned, I agree with the idea. the rationale behind my opinion is presented in the following essay.

to begin with, taking part in a part-time job can help the development of their sense of responsibility since they will experience the interactions dominating the real world. they will be given the opportunities to make mistakes which is very important in the process of practicing responsibility. my own experience is a compelling example to illustrate this. when I was a teenager, my parents sent me to my uncle mechanic to help him repair cars and get a small amount of money for my work. before that, I was barely responsible in my everyday life to the point that our relatives always blamed my parents for spoiling me. but after I started working there for about three months in summer, I became a completely different person who never gives up his urgency in doing his duties and this was because of my uncle very strict toward me in carrying out my duties at work and punished me when I made a mistake by not paying me. what i learned was to avoid mistakes and be more responsible.

second, by taking a part-time job, children will understand the difficulties of making money, because they will see that how overwhelming is to make money and therefore they will try to be less extravagant an more careful in their spendings, which is a very crucial skill in adulthood. for instance, I was very bothered when working for my uncle, because there were sometimes pieces of work which I felt overwhelmed to carry out. I always dictated myself that every penny that I make tantamounts to the hours of my life, how can I be satisfied to waste my life? this experience has taught me to work more and spend less and now I think it has been an effective factor in my current financial success as an adult.

all in all, to sum up, what I outlined above, I agree with the idea of encouraging young children to take a part-time job. I feel this way because young children can practice responsibility and because they can learn to save.
