One of your friends invited you for a meal with his/her family in their home. You enjoyed the meal and had been happy to be introduced to his/her family.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,

• thank your friend and say that you enjoyed the meal
• say what else you liked about this visit
• ask your friend to meet you someday at a restaurant

Dear Elly,

Hope you are in the best of your health and making the most of your stay at home. My letter is in regards to the warm welcome and a wonderful hospitality shown by you and your family the other day at the dinner you invited me to.

Let me start by praising the savory Indian food your mother prepared. Not only the yummy ‘fritters’ served in the starters, but also the blend of mouth-watery Indian Spices was just beyond expectations. How can i not talk about the most special ‘rice porridge’ your mother served in the desert, sprinkled with saffron and rose petals reminded me of my mother’s handmade dishes.

The reason that I loved such a cosy vibe at your place was the friendly behaviour of your mother. Just when she told me that she belongs to the same city that i do, I could relate to her so much more. I was so happy when your mother and I were discussing the beautiful things of our hometown ‘Chandigarh’.

I was wondering if you and your mother could join me to dine out at ‘Amico’s that serves the best Italian cuisines like Pasta, Pizzas and Panzanella in the town. I am sure you both will love it.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks and Regards,
Angel Justin
