I am writing to you with regard to the transportation hindrances which we have been facing in our locality. A large group of people is heavily dependent on the public transport system in our community as it is affordable and safe. However, nowadays we are facing an issue with the bus timings and this is impacting our day to day livelihood.
To begin with, the main hurdle for all of our community is the irregularity of buses. By this, I mean that the majority of transport buses are not adhering to their schedules. It is observed that 99 percent of buses are arriving at their designated stops after an hour of their scheduled time.
Consequences of these are significantly influencing our daily chores as well as businesses. Besides this, we are unable to plan our chores due to nonuniformity of bus timings and apparently forcing us to wait at the bus shelters far ahead than the actual arrival of buses. Furthermore, this unevenness making us not to reach offices or destinations accurately.
I would like to bring forward some proposals to avoid these challenges. Firstly, we urge to install Global Positioning System (GPS) in all government buses to track the exact location. This enables the transport department to frame a precise timetable and can deploy its assets effectively. Secondly, displaying the tentative timings of bus arrivals and departers electronically in the bus stops will remove chaos among commuters. Moreover, everyone can plan ahead or accordingly and eventually can ameliorate their time management and productivity.
I believe this matter deserves your kind attention and hope these issues could be resolved at the earliest. I look forward to implementing these approaches.
