these days with advances in technology more and more people are working from home. discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this and give your own opinion
It is true that as there is advancement in technology, most of them prefer to perform work tasks from home. There are positive and negative impact while working from residence.
As there is increase in technology, people could handle their job profile by using laptop and good internet connectivity. There are chances where employees has the ability to give more productivity while working from home instead of workplace as there will be less disturbance. Another factor which has advantages is some of them can spend time with their family as before the advanced technology, people used to spend huge amount of time in office. Lastly, people could save lot of time in travelling from office to home and vice versa.
On the flip side, all job could not be performed from home, some has to be completed at workplace. For example, workers working in factories and industries cannot work from their residence. Some work requires good internet connection and if it gets fluctuate or due to bad connection, it could hamper the virtual meeting within the team or clients. Another factor which has detrimental effect while working from home is staff has to work for longer duration if employer instructs to them. There is possibility of cyber attacks if working from home and connected on internet with untrusted sources which could leak the secret information of organization.
To sum up, I believe advantages outweigh disadvantages and organization should assign work to the people which could be performed from home instead of asking their employees to work from office.
