Dear Mr. Jones,
I am writing this letter to accept my apology for my absence in annual meeting held by our company last week.
I am sincerely sorry for not attending meeting this meeting. I am aware that General manger discusses about the mystery audit points which is held by our organization annually and also about the upcoming budget. We also communicate promotions which needs to be organized in the coming year which is more feasible to all departments to achieve the target easily set by our company.
I know how attending meeting was important but the reason for my absence was unavoidable. Last Saturday when I was on my way to home from work, I met with an accident. Although accident was not serious and I got discharged on the same day from the hospital, but doctor advised me to take bed rest for some days because of bruises on my hand and leg.
I have asked one of my colleagues, David Brown to attend the meeting and draft me an email with all the main pointers of the meeting so that I will submit the report in a day or two once I resume work.
I hope you will forgive my absence and be assured of my commitment to this company and future.
