Essay topics:

You have recently changed your job and started working for a new company.
Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter:
• explain why you changed your previous job
• describe your new job
• tell him/her your other news
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear ............,

Dear Eric,

Hope you’re in good health. I am writing this letter to inform you that I have been employed with Google from June 2019 as a software programmer.

I was working with Master Company as Trainee software programmer from last five years and there my position was stagnant. I was in search of new job where my skills can be used in a better way and to grow in future.

While I was checking for new jobs on an online portal, I came through the position of software programmer in Google headquarters, UK. Without a second thought, I applied for it and grabbed that position after successfully cracking the interview. Now I am leading the team of five and working on software required for financial institution to make digital transactions more convenient to their customers.

Another good news is that I have purchased an apartment which is on 20th floor with an open terrace, where I can see the entire city view. I will be hosting a house warming party next month and would like to invite you for the same.

Hope to see you soon.

Best regards,
Tim Frank
