You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter

introduce yourself
explain what is wrong with the furniture
say what action you would like the landlord to take
You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr Smith,
I am Mr Shreyas Parab, recently I have relocated to Toronto, Canada from India for better employment and lifestyle. I have rented your place for further accommodation with my family consisting of parents and younger sister.
The house is at the perfect location as expected, but the furniture seems to be bothering us a lot. There are two broken chairs out of six in the dining hall, and accidentally when my father sat on it, he just managed to escape from getting any injuries. Additionally, the infected wooden cupboards by termites lead the small dust getting collected every other day, spoiling the clothes kept inside.
I at this moment request your urgent attention towards getting these problems solved immediately, or send us the contact details of the concerned person who can help us, as we are new to this city. The cost incurred is payable by you as per our agreed terms, or else we will deduct from the rent of the upcoming month.
Kindly let us know your decision on the same, you can also reach out to me on +99987654321.
Yours sincerely,
Shreyas Parab
