I am offered a position of Finance Manager with your company. My joining date is agreed to be 1st August 2019. Firstly, I would like to thank you for extending this opportunity to work with your esteemed and renowned group. Secondly, I am writing this letter to explain my current obligations with my current company, which requires me to postpone my joining day by 2 weeks. I can begin my duties with your company by 15th August 2019.
Being Assistant Finance Manager, my current role entails responsibilities and acquaintance of historical background of underlying transactions. Further, I have put colossal efforts in the corporate audit assignment, through which, we managed to complete the audit for last 6 years holus-bolus. We are on the verge of finalization of this engagement any time soon. Due to some unavoidable circumstances on auditor’s part, eventually, audit got shifted by three weeks.
Considering my separation from company and with the active involvement of my senior management, my line manager managed to cut-short the timelines by 1 week on auditor’s part. As a last resort, my company has requested me to extend my services by another two weeks to have healthy and mutually beneficial separation, which seems reasonable to me. Lastly, considering this crucial situation, I ask you to please revise my joining date to 15th August 2019.
