Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to request a short leave for my ielts study.
I have informed you earlier that I am sitting for an ielts test on July 15th. As the test day is drawing near, I really need to focus on practicing and improving my English at least 2 weeks in advance. Therefore, I am requesting your permission to take a 14-day off starting from June 30th.
I promise that I will keep up with the company’s projects as soon as I return after the test. I commit to working two more extra hours after 5 pm every day to make sure that all unfinished work is done and you will not have to give me bonuses for doing this.
I believe that an ielts qualification will make me feel more confident to communicate with our clients. I will be able to fully understand their demand and increase their satisfaction. Since our office has only one representative, I can also be available to take his place if he is away for some personal reasons.
I hope that you would take my request into consideration.
