Dear Sir,
I am writing to you this letter to request your permission to apply for a time off work in order to resume my master exam next week. Let me explain the situation in more details, recently I applied on the university to study for a master’s degree in engineering software. I opt to attend my lessons during night sessions and at weekends. So that, it would not interrupt with working hours. Unfortunately, I can not choose the examinations dates, that is why I am asking for a time off.

My first exam is on Wednesday and the last one will be the next Friday. Additionally, I will be needing two extra days prior to Wednesday to prepare for the first test. Correspondingly, I am requesting for a whole week off work.

I already arranged with my department colleagues to manage my projects. In case any difficulty or occurrence or a problem, they will contact me through my e-mail address any time through the day.

I really appreciate your concern, and I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding this aspect as soon as possible.
Your faithful,
Jack Smith
