Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter, to inform you that I would like to render my resignation from the post of Manager - Sales effective today 21st December 2019. I remember my first day when I joined as a Management Trainee, and now I am leaving as Manager - Sales heading the West Sales Division. Personally would like to thank the company and you for believing in me and providing me with challenging opportunities that has helped me to transform to a person that I am today.
As you are aware, that my parents live in India and my father’s health has not been great since a year. Recently, I was informed by my family doctor that my father is suffering from depression and needs treatment. I am the only child and now it is my responsibility to take care of my parents. Due to this reason, and with a heavy heart, I have decided to resign and be there for my father who currently needs my support.
I am aware that as per company policy I have to serve 2 months’ notice. However, I will appreciate, if it is possible to relive me by 31st January 2020. I have already prepared my handover details and if you want I could discuss the same with you on Monday next week.
I would like to thank once again to the company and you and wish you all best of luck for future endeavours.
