Dear Tom,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I have been instructed by my manager to visit London on 13th of this month. Though, I applied the leave from 1st August to 15th August this month, meeting has been fixed by client and my manager had no option but to request me to attend the same. As a result, I would not be able to present at our planned meeting. I know that you hate surprises but it was shock for me as well as at eleventh hour, I was asked to cancel my leave. I seek apology for the inconvenience caused by me.
In last letter you mentioned that you and your family are planning to visit Spain. Have you finalized your plan? I have also been informed that corporate training is being organized in September and my boss has nominated my name to attend the week long course. Moreover, attendees are being given the option to include their family on trip. I certainly see this as an opportunity to have get together of our family.
I am looking forward to hearing from you about your plan of Spain.
