invite your friend and his family to your place.

Dear Thomas,

I hope you are doing well. I remember the first time when we became good friends, although it was an ugly moment for both of us, but since then my journey at university has smoothened. I am writing this letter to express my joy over last week’s dinner with your family.

There have been so many elements about the dinner that I still cannot take out of my head. I must not forget to mention what a gala time I had at your place. Starting from your dining hall, it gave me such a warm and cozy feeling in this freezing weather, as I am experiencing this extreme form for the first time. I am going to copy the idea of your dining hall‘s lighting for sure. They so beautifully gleamed every corner of the room and made antiques look very unique. The classical Indian music that you played created such a pleasing environment. I appreciate you remember my taste in music. I regret to end this list, but, the food your family prepared for me was mouth-watering specially the Canadian desert your father baked for me. The red wine was icing on the cake as I have always been fond of this brand. I feel really blessed to have find such a great friend in foreign land.

Being an immigrant, I really miss my family parties, as in Indian culture we have the culture of mixing up more with our near ones. Your parents were very supportive of the fact that I belonged to a very different culture and country. Also, knowing the fact, they mingled up so well with me. Infact, they seems so happy to have me over for dinner. They made me very comfortable as initially I looked very nervous as stated by them. I am so over-whelmed with your family’s kind and loving gesture

I won’t say, as a matter of returning favours, but I genuinely want you to join my family for the New Year’s Eve. I know this is a special occasion in your culture. Therefore, I would certainly give you the best evening. We will have bonfire, jazz and rock music, the Canadian delicacies, wine and not to miss long sessions of gossips at my place. My parents are also visiting me on the same occasion. I hope it would be great fun.

I am eagerly waiting for the day as it would be my turn to show my love towards you.

Best Wishes

Udita.
