you have been sent an important document in a foreign language and you need it translated quickly. you have a friend who knows this language.
Write a letter to your friend and ask him/her to translate an important document you have received. In your letter say
– Why is it important for you?
– How fast do you need it back?
– Why do you need his/her expertise?

Dear Hirota,

It's been so long since we last were in touch but, I haven't forgotten all the wonderful times that spent together in Tokyo a few years ago. I was wondering if you would give me a hand with some translations of university prospects which has been send by university of Kyoto.

In fact, I applied for a scholarship in the above university and they send me a letter regarding available courses and thier scholarships offering for 2019. Eventhough, I know japanese little bit, it's really difficult to understand all the content in here. A japanese course that I'm following is still in primitive level and that letter is uncomprehendible for me.

Application should be sent within upcomming two weeks as the perticular postgraduate degree programme will be commenced in next July. Your assitance in translating that letter is urgent as I need to meet deadlines.

I hope, you might not have difficulties to covert my letter to English language as you are fluent in both languages. Further, it's not so long ago that you completed your master degree. Therefor, I'm sure you might be familiar with these course contets.

It'll be a great help if you can do this as soon as possible. I'm waiting for your fast reply.

Best reagrds,

Sadamali.
