Dear Usha,
Hope you doing well, I am aware you looking forward my letter about a local news item as you are doing journalism course you wrote me about, here is about the recent issue in Andhra Pradesh about Sabarimala Temple and the issue of women’s entry.

It is about the conflict between women rights and tradition. According to old-age traditions and customs women from 10 – 50 years of age were not permitted to enter this temple. However, the situation has changed when the constitutional bench of the supreme court, recently declared that restriction entry of women was unconstitutional. But the state government facing a hard time enforcing supreme court orders because of huge protest.

Additionally, the public concerned about the tradition followed since ages by devotees of Lord Ayyappa, as it's against the ethnicities. Moreover, Involvement of communists is least bothered then in the income of the temple because they can appoint people as governing members of the board with handsome perks.

As being women, I feel there shouldn’t be any gender inequality. As well as why womenfolks stay behind in performing their prayer, it's about respect, as womanhood they got was not by choice.

Greetings!!
