You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult yo work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter, describe the situation, explain your problems and why is it difficult to work, say what kind of accommodation you would prefer.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to let you know that I have been facing troubles with my current accommodation. While the facilities are totally alright, I am running into troubles with my current roommate who happened to move in couple of months ago. I hope you consider my request favorably.
Let me explain my situation. My problems started with the current flat mate who happens to be a fresher and does not have too many assignments to work upon. He being younger to me and excited about the new college life does not understand the importance of personal space and his lack of etiquette makes him continuously bother me by interfering with my schedule. Despite of my repeated efforts to make him understand my problems, I couldn't find any difference in the issues I experience. As such, I am unable to focus on my thesis and it is becoming really difficult to keep up with my work.
Would you kindly consider transfer of my housemate or me to another room? I would prefer to live with someone from my fellow classmates. As long as someone understands the value of letting others live the way they want to, I wouldn't mind sharing my room with them. I hope you understand the seriousness of my concern.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours faithfully,
Shyam
