You live in a room in college which you share with another student. There are many problems With this arrangement and you find it difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter:
Describe the situation
Explain the problems and why is it difficult to work
Say how you would like the situation resolved
Dear Sir / Madam
I am writing to make a complaint about my roommate
I am extremely grateful for the place you have provided for me. However, I am experiencing a number problems with my roommate. Each time I arrive, I notice that he has invited some of his friends without informing me in advance. Consequently, all the food that I have put in the refrigerator for my dinner for the next day, will be vanished. This is quite unpleasant and getting you out of my control.
The first concern is my privacy. It is not clear to me what types of people are in the room and whenever I am here trying to either do my my project or relax, they make noise and make the situation difficult for me. To make matter worse, I cannot afford to rent a flat of my own at this time. I have tried so hard To get on well with him but I am very disappointed.
To resolve the problem I would appreciate it if you could either change My room or provide a smaller place with no roommate as I was originally promised.
Yours faithfully,
Nima Tavakoli
