You recently started commuting to work by bicycle and discovered there is a problem with bicycle parking near the building where you work. Write a letter to the building manager and say. Explain the reason for using a bicycle to commute. What problems have you encountered with parking? What are your recommendations to solve them?
Dear Mr Robin,
I am writing to you to bring your attention towards the problem I am facing to park my bike near the office building.
A couple of weeks ago, I was watching a TV program on the active transportation and the benefits it offers. Being a health conscious person, I grab the opportunity to commute to work via bicycle which not only improves my health but also saves a lot of my time due to traffic congestion problem in the city centre and money I was spending on the fuel as well.
Firstly, since, I began bicycling to work, I am facing a parking issue near our corporate park, mostly because of the cars parked over there. Despite having a dedicated car parking in the premises, people are parking their vehicles outside which is disappointing indeed. Furthermore, due to the lack of parking area for bicycles, I have to park it in the other building wasting my time every day.
I would like to suggest to the administration department to facilitate a parking lot allotted for bikes. In addition, signboard can also be put for public awareness of vehicle parking. Taking such measures can certainly improve the parking problem.
I would be waiting for your kind action to resolve this matter as early as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Kaplan
