Your car is hired from a company and while you were driving on holiday, you had a small accident. You will have to write a report to the company to explain it.
Write a letter to the company. In your letter, you need to explain the following:
• when and where you hired the car
• describe how the accident happened
• what kind of action did you take after the accident
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Manager,
I am John Gresham, a resident of East Ham, London. I have been availing car hire service, your company offers, since 2010. I am writing this letter to describe an incident that occurred last week on my trip to Manchester in one of your company’s car that was rented.
On 13th of March, last week, I made a reservation for a Bentley to drive to my cousin’s place in Manchester. The booking was made at the East Ham branch for the next 6 days until weekend that was supposed to be the 20th of March.
While I was driving to the county along with my family, I happened to stop at an eatery near Liverpool to have some food. Minutes later, a huge shipment truck heading to Scotland has a break failure and ran on to the cars parked at the parking lot and eventually stopped hitting a huge lamp pole.
Soon the police arrived and as I was able to get the insurance details from the dashboard, I called up the insurance company to report the accident without any further delay. The insurance agent got the vehicle towed to the nearest workshop and I ensured all the formalities are done.
I would come to the branch personally and explain. If there is anything else that needed my immediate attention, please do not hesitate to call me on my personal number.
Thank You
John Gresham
