Dear Sara,
I am really excited to finally see you in person as you have decided to come to my hometown. You made an excellent choice since Shiraz is one of the best historical places in the world and I am sure you would not be disappointed.
The best time to visit this magnificent city though is in the end of the spring when the weather is pleasant and trees are blooming with delicious fruits. Moreover, special activities are held at that specific time of year to celebrate the beginning of the summer.
There are variety of sites that you can visit, ranging from historical such as Persepolis to natural landscapes like the well-known waterfall near the city. Nevertheless, there are some places that are a must-see and Persepolis is one of them. Although most of the constructions have been destroyed due to countless wars and bad climate, it is still glorious and a worthwhile journey.
I am quite positive that you are going to enjoy your time here. Iranian are very hospitable and especially have a weak spot for a foreigner with colored eye and blond hair! Hence, you would be welcomed whenever you go. Just make sure to contact me as soon as you landed so I can come and pick you up.
