Along with technological development, the expansion of enterprises is growing popular in practically all areas of modern society. It is widely held that it is beneficial for students to start businesses while still in college. Nonetheless, there is a more compelling argument that the disadvantages exceed the benefits. This is due to the fact that owning a business might divert students' focus away from their main objective of attending university.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that starting a business allows students to turn their dreams into reality and earn a variety of valuable experiences in addition to their classroom knowledge. Hands-on involvement provides pupils with more practical ways of learning. For example, when they open a modest online business, they must plan for things like selecting a product, running an online channel, shipping, and advertising... Students must complete a variety of tasks in order to put their concepts into action, so establishing genuine knowledge and values for their future careers.
On the contrary, students would become distracted from their academic responsibilities. Students must invest time and energy into their enterprises, which they should be spending to focus on their studies. According to recent research, it takes at least three to four months for individuals to establish a business, and to manage it, they must devote more than five hours per day to their business. This amount of time should be spent on their studies without neglect, so that students can attain the amount of knowledge to adapt in the long - term professional development.
In short, while encouraging students to start enterprises as part of their studies has some advantages. It is clear that requiring students to operate businesses while in college has significantly more drawbacks.
