All university students should be required to take history courses no matter what their field of study is.
These days, history is one of the courses which all student pass in college and university. Actually, it becomes a basic course in all majors because of its importance. However, some people believe it's not necessary for all students but I strongly believe that history is important and all students should pass it because of two main reasons.
First of all, by getting history, students become aware of their ancestor, past humans and significant events in the past. actually, history is the best teacher. Because people gain many experiences from history and they can exert them in their life. They can prevent mistakes that may make because of a shortage of information. for instance, Iranian people have experienced war for eight years. They know the destroyable results of war so they never want a new one. on the other hand, if they don't know about the predominant reasons for starting a war, they will not be able to prevent it. while studying history, they will not do impulsive action and they will not bring about a war. So being aware of pas and knowing about history is extremely important.
Second, by studying history, people especially teenagers get familiar whit their myth. Honestly many worthwhile myths exist in the ancient stories. These myths are so important because they make the culture of a society and students should learn them by reading history books. while if these stories don't repeat for generations, they will forget in the near future. For example, Iranian people used to see their family and parents on the first day of the new year. It was a rewarding habit and now, many Iranian people visit their family on that day because they have learned it from history books which study in school and university. while this habit will forget if students don't study history.
In conclusion, I believe that history is necessary for all people and school and university is the best place to study it. All students should get it because history learned them many worthwhile experiences whiteout any cost. All people should know about their myths and pas culture of their country and the best way to achieve this aim is studying history.
