Chevalier de Seingalt and its memoir as a valid historical source

The professor mentions the based on valid documents the prison on that time was old and it would be possible that Chevalier have escaped by using some metals to make a hole. The professor also puts forth the idea that the prison was repaired after the Chevalier's escape.
