fire

Essay topics:

fire

The article states that three kinds of damage caused by the let it burn policy was emphasized by critics of the policy and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that this policy is not a destructive but also it is a creative method and refutes each of the author's reasons.
First, the reading states that Yellowstone fire caused damage to the trees and vegetation. The professor refutes this point. He states that this fire can create the new opportunity for small plants to grow. Furthermore, some plants need high temperature to grow and this fire is a good factor for them.
Second, the article claims that the park wildlife was affected and animals were seen fleeing the fire. However, the professor says that not only the animal population will decrease, but also their population will increase and new plants after fire create new habitants and new animals such as rabbit can live there and new food chain will create there.
Third, the reading avers that the fires compromised the value of the park as a tourist attraction and it has a negative consequences for the local economy. The lecture opposes this point by saying that this fire will not happen every year. That pervious forest fire happened in the unusual combination of factors such as low rainfall. Also, lecture says that after that fire tourist came back to that park next year.
