Following the reading passage which argued that ants have a completely stratified form of societies, the lecturer also talked about ants, whereas she put more emphasis on the difference between ants and bees that share some biological features yet differs in their social structure. She told that ants have a social structure and cooperate between generations while the article told that younger ants nourish the young ants and middle-aged ants takes care of the nest structure or transport necessities in and out of the nest. On the other hand, bees do not act socially but they work individually. Their acting is a solitary one. The speaker added that hunter wasps share the same type of singular society and their form of forming a society is suited for future generations.
