pro and con's of uniform currency
The reading and the lecture both discuss whether or not the uniform currency benefited the European countries. while the reading states that European countries are improved their economy with a single form of currency. The lecture, on the other hand, refutes this, saying that the claim is an outdated and optimistic prediction.
First of all, the reading claims because of unforming price, the country currency was stable. However, the lecture argues that although it is right within their regional countries, they don't just trade only with them. She further illustrated that the other nationals had a different currency which has impacts on their trades.
In addition, the reading makes an argument that a single form currency attracts more international trade because of no price fluctuation between the regional countries. The lecture counter this point by stating it makes sense but not noticeable changes. According to the professor, they already had enough trading between their alien countries, so there has been no economic benefit.
Lastly, the reading posits that euro benefit support worker mobility. Because it makes easier to work in the neighboring counties. The lecture contended this claim by point out that migrating to the other country is an immigration issue not depend on the country currency.
