Proffessor shows on TV show
The lecturer completely refutes the reading.
while the reading claims that professor being on television would be of a great benefit to the professor as it will add to his reputation as a scholar which will help him to get funds for his research, the lecturer challenges this by mentioning that his colleagues won’t take him seriously, so he won’t get invited to important academic meetings accordingly he won’t get a fund to his research.
Also, the lecturer claims that it’s not so beneficial to audience to have a professor on a TV show since they only care about entertainment not in-depth intellectual substance, and this would just need a Tv reporter to give superficial information about the academic title in question.
