Shrimps
The article talks about TED (Turle Excluder Device) which are devices to catch shrimps effectively and it's benefits. Secondly, the reading posits that TED is being used by all people involved in the shrimping business due to the restriction imposed by Shrimp-Turtle Law. On the other hand the professor argues that many people do not use TED. According to her many people remove it when they are about to put the net in the sea to catch shrimps and it is very difficult to monitor these people when they in the middle of the ocean.
Lastly, the passage says that countries which do no comply with Shrimp Turtle Law are not allowed to sell their products in the United States and that America keeps a tight track on the shrimp import. The professor opposes this by saying that it is very easy for someone to fake documents claiming that they are using TED and hence bypass the law.
