The article states that saving dangered species it is not beneficial and provide three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that contrary as the author says the extincted species should be prevented.

First, the reading states that it is an exageration that extinction of animals would lead to disaster in the planet. The professor refutes this point by standing that after loss of the dinosaurious were a shift in organism and a great number of species that were lost, produce alterations in the ecosystem. As a result, it is important preserve the species as the professor mentions.

Second, the article claims that scientics not longer depend on nature as a resource because of advances of technology, However, the professor contends that nature plays an important role in medicine. He says that fourty percent of prescription drugs are made using plants and if any of the plant species become extincted medicine are losing a great amount of drugs.

Third, the reading avers that saving species is very expensive. The lecture opposes this point by saying that saving species from extinction offers benefits to the economy. He mentions that these species that are saved maintain the job of many people in United States , that is why that remaining species as many others deserve to be safe.
