First of all, the author claims that humpback whales have high intelligence than other animals or birds. They use night sky for their orientation. Therefore, they rely on stars at night to provide them external signs to maintain directions over long distances. The lecturer rebuts this argument. She suggest that the animals who has bio magnetic in their body, so they are able to feel bio magnetic forces of earth. The whales are orient themselves by bio magnaeic forces of earth rather than external objects.

Additionally, they observed the floating straight for few minutes to looking upwards.This behavior is known as spy hopping.
