The professor discusses consequences of some activities slowing down the decline in frog population. The information she presents contradicts facts outlined in the reading passage.
First the lecturer mentions that farmers use pesticides in order to reduce crop loss. Since the farmland subjecting to pests are different regarding to be in neighboring with frog habitats, it would not be fair and economical for all the farmers to be prohibited using pesticides, since they may loose more crops in comparison with other farmers. On the other hand, according to the passage prohibiting farmers from using lethal pesticides near vulnerable frog population will lead to reduction the harm pesticides cause to frogs.
Second, the speaker states that the solution of treating frogs must be exerted individually, which is a hard work. In addition, if the cure works properly with frog the danger still threatens its off-springs and needs to be done individually. However, the reading specifies that sensitive frog would be safe if anti-fungal medication is exerted.
Third, the professor points out that basically more than human activity, it is global warming that mainly contribute to threatening their habitats. In contrast, the reading makes it clear that frogs habitat are threatened by human activity like draining of wetlands and excessive water use.
