The lecture casted a doubt on 3 points made in the passage that decrease the salary and diminish the workday five to four. All of the argument involving the benefits of this to company and employees have been refuted by the professor.

First, the professor made a counterclaim to the result that diminish the workday will increase the profit of company. The lecturer argued that the company will hire a lot of more employees to make up thier jobs. As a result, costs of things would be same with five workday.

Second, the passage stated that the diminishing workday would decrease the amount of unemployment. In contrast, the lecturer iterated the point that unemployment. However, due to the cost the company would probably ask thier employees to overtime to make up a difference of job.

Third, the passage pointed towards that workers will have more free time, so they fell more rested and alert. As a result, thier ability will increase a lot. While acknowledging this, the professor also talked about this topic. Diminishing the workday will decrease the employer's ability on thier work. Because of that they can not make up the difference of job.
