The reading passage presents some current problems associated with uncovering and studying artifacts in Britain which is very rich in history of human settelments. The lecturer, however proposes some guide lines that have been applied in order to reduce the difficulties with which arcealogists are faced.

First, the reading argues that a lot of these artifacts are being lost due to construction projects that despite helping site discoveries now and then, most of the times are distructive. In contrast, professor is of the idea that there is a rule to prevet artifacts and sites to be distroyed through construction. She also mentions that this rule includes searching and analyzing the place to find out if the place is desirable for arcealogic researches befor any construction takes place. Therefore, all of the sites and artifacts that exist are carefuly preserved and can be documented in later projects.

Next, the passage states that new policies of the government does not let the arcealogical reaserches have enough budget. Conversely, the speaker highlights the fact that all of researches in this field are funded by construction organization rather that government which is a new resource for new projects and and provides grater range of research projects with financial support.

Finally, the reading mentions that not adequate possitions are available for those who are interested in the field. On the contrary, the lecturer dismisses the issue due to the fact that a lot of experts of hired and paid currently that are involved in the process of examination of sites, preserving artifacts, and writing reports and articles based on them. Moreover, she illustrates that the number of experts working in this field is more than ever.
