On the contrary, the lecturer argues that collagen cannot be found in the fossil from over 100 thousand years ago. Collagen cannot last for such a long history, because the earliest collagen found in the fossil is from 70 million years ago. Therefore, the collagen may come from the recent source like the researchers' hands.
