According to the reading passage, discovering of the clay jars at 1938 can not related to this fact that they had been used as electric batteries. The professor in the lecture have opposite view in this relation as following essay.

First, the reading passage mentions that not founding electricity conductors like as metal wires near the vessels proves which they had not been used as batteries. However, the professor believes that clay jars have been fund by local people not by experts, as a result, they may did not recognized and overlook them.

Second, the passage says that the copper cylinders that had been located inside the vessels were used for holding scrolls of sacred texts at ancient near city. In contrast, the professor asserts that these similarity can not really prove that their usage are the same. In addition, these cylinders may originally adapted for electrical usage of the vessels.

Third, the reading passage claim that there was no device in ancient time that could use the electrical power; then, electrical vessels have no application for ancient people. In the lecture, the professor says that some magical power that ancient people had had, may be related to electrical batteries which they had been used by them for releasing pain or other medical goals.
