tpo 32

Both the reading and the lecture try to discuss about underwater noises which is heard in the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean in the 1960s until the 1980s. Although the reading passage claims that it remainded the submarine crews of frog croaks, the lecture repudiate and states that they don't know what is the exact source of the sounds but there are not submarine.
At first, the reading declares that, the noises were belong to orca whales during a court ship ritual which they live in the areas where the submarines were picking up the strange noises. On the other hand, the lecture asserts that, this theory is highly unlikely because orca whales are live in surface of the area and the noises are not belong to them.
Secondly, the reading presents that, the sounds were caused by giant squid which they live deep in the ocean and they are able to make sounds. The professor, on the other hand, mentiones that the sounds disappear in 1980s but the gain squid should live after the date in the ocean.
Finally, the reading asserts that, the strange sounds can be from some military technology. But the lecture mentiones that, it is not because if they were the sounds it should be changed in diraction.
