The lecture and reading are both about cloud seeding, which a method is used to reduce hail by spraying silver iodide on the storm clouds. The professor disagrees with the concepts which are mentioned in the reading for the following reasons.

First of all, the trouble of the laboratory experiments. the teacher says that although it is true that silver iodide reduces the snow forming, it could impact on the rain. if the rain reduces, the water will lack. As a result, the dry will happen. On the other hand, the reading states that the silver iodide reduces hail production.

Secondly, the issue of the evidence from Asia. The professor mentions that when they spray This chemical material in Asia. They have a result because they used this material in the urban area. moreover, the cities have a different response for the cloud seeding due to the pollution. Also, the chemical reaction between the iodide and the pollution product will pass in different ways. As a result, cloud seeding does not work in the city.

Finally, the problem of the local studies. The lecturer asserts that using seeding clouds could reducing the damage in one area. He says that when they used it. all areas are reduced in the rain that means the natural variation might happen because using seeding cloud could not impact on many areas. However, the passage says that the cloud seed reduce the damage of the hail
