TPO-42 - Integrated Writing Task

The article states that building glass is dangerous for birds and provides three solutions that can use to prevent injuries to birds. However, the lecture casts doubt on all the solution made in the article by saying that none of the solution can effectively stop birds from getting injured.
The first solution mentioned in the reading suggests that replace the regular, clear glass with one-way glass that is transparent in only one direction. However, in the listening material, the professor contends that the argument made in the reading by saying that the problem is the birds are on outside and glass is reflected just like a mirror. For example, the glass might reflect the sky, and birds think the glass in the sky.
The second solution in the reading mentions that paint colorful lines or other designs on regular windows glass could be useful. The lecture, conversely, disagrees with this explanation. The professor explains that glass includes an opening in the design then the birds will perceive these are open holes and fly through them. He also mentions that the opening would need to be extremely small, but then, the room would be too dark.
Finally, the author of the reading passage believes that creating an artificial magnetic field to guide birds away from the building. However, the professor refutes this point by saying that birds only use Earth's magnetic field when they are travel long distance. For short distance, they use eyes and brightness of light.
