The article discussing the fascinating topic pertaining to the advantages of teamwork on the fulfillment of a project and provides three reasons of support, however, the professor explains that this idea cannot be true in most of the time and opposes each of the author’s reasons.
First, the reading passage discusses that a wider range of knowledge, expertise, and skills that a group possesses can assist a company to get a better outcome than when any single to do the work. In contrast, the professor provides information that in teamwork exists some members that they are a free rider but when projects accomplish, although, they were less benefit but received the same salary to the people who were inside a problem and current issues and completely play the key role in the advancement of the project. Clearly, the disparity exists between the article and the evidence exhibiting by the professor.
Second, the article pushes forth the idea that one of the benefits of group working is that people as a group can make a risky decision with a creative solution that an individual might not. However, the classroom discussing contends opposite this opinion. According to the professor, in order, a group reach an agreement on an issue they have to hold up any meeting. Sometimes good suggestion may be drop due to the other’s pressure. In many cases, teamwork in this field won’t be successful. Consequently, we can argue that indeed the claim made in reading unsubstantiated.
Finally, the reading posts that member of a group can gain many rewarding in teamwork. The professor refutes this point by explaining that when there is something wrong in work process because of low responsibility of some workers the company does not be able to distinguish this problem creates from who and when their project failed all group is blamed while this is not fair.
