In this set of material, the reading section discusses three main theories to reject of possibility of human life on Venus's surface, while the speaker casts doubt on the information presented in the passage and gives several reasons to support his viewpoint.

First of all, the article specifies that in the extreme pressure on the venus's surface, human living is impossible, in contrast, the speaker claims that however this is the well-known physical rule that in the high the level of the pressure goes down, if a station would be established in the 50 Km above of the Venus's surface the pressure decreases and it would be as normal as on the earth. She links the level of pressure to latitude, and describes how this problem could be solved.

In addition, the professor disagrees with the idea that there is not any source for obtaining water and oxygen and implies that existing of carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid would be a reasonable source for reaching to water and oxygen on them. She also clearly states that water and oxygen are necessary for human being's life, thereby the circumstances are available for initiating life on this planet.

Finally, although according to the passage there is not adequate sunlight on the surface of venus, the professor subscribes to the view that providing a station on the above of the venus's surface would be the solution of all of these problems. Specifically, she gives the impression that a solar power plant on the station would be able to collect both above and below the station reflected light, in this way, great amount of electricity power could be generated.
