TPO49-Humpback whales

The reading is about doubts which explain how the whales migrate a long distance just for feeding and mating, and it is mentioned in the passage that they might be able to navigate by stars. In contrast, the lecturer opposes each of the statements described in the reading. he states that navigating by stars is fascinating, at time, evidences are not convincing and valueable.

First of all, this claim, navigating by stars, cause whales to seem intelligent. The author says whale's brain is complicated and powerful, and that's why they have a stronge basis of this ability. However, the speaker believes that there are no connection between this ability and the genuine. he adds some other animals such as birds and ducks are able to navigate by stars not just humans, but the thing which pursuades speaker to disapprove this statement is that there is no sign to show ducks and birds intelligent, in spite of having this ability.

Moreover, the author points out one of whales behavior that they could move in a straight line, and maintain it. it is stated that some other animals do the same deed, but they move straightly with landmarks are in the land. So, it shows us that whales, which don't have these kind of landmarks, again utilize stars to migrate. The lecturer contracts this claim. he declares that one of the extra force which led these animals to maintain movement straight is earth's magnitide, and the whales can use this sign too. that's how the speaker ignores the second claim assereted by the author.

Finally, the speaker says other animals can spy-hoppying like sharks, but it isn't a sign of using the stars for navigating. Plus, whales do this behavior in the day which there aren't any stars.
