All modes of travel were divided in 3 groups. First is public transportation such as local bus, long distance bus and train. Second is private transportation such as walking, bicycle, car and taxi. Third is other transportation.
All modes were 4740 miles in 1985 and 6475 miles in 2000. Beginning with the private transportation, the most popular mode was car which reached 3199 miles in 1985 and 4806 miles in 2000. Meanwhile, the unpopular mode was taxi and bicycle. Even the taxi gained only 13 miles in 1985 but in 2000, the miles were increased to 42 miles. It seemed that taxi mode tended to upward. Whereas, the bicycle mode got 51 miles in 1985 and decreased to 41 in 2000. Trend was downward. And the private transportation by walking decreased less.
According to public transportation, long distance bus and train were in upward trends. The average miles of each people regarding with local bus was dramatically fallen from 429 in 1985 to 274 in 2000.
