Should higher education be available to everybody? Different people will give answer to this question into their own concerns, emotion, and their background education. However, when it comes to me, I strongly disagree with that for the following three main reasons.
In the first place, in my point of view, the modernized and globalized world is extremely competitive, folks are trying to develop their skills and gain knowledge by attending to a university or a college. I strongly believe that in order to get admission from a college, there is a significant competition among students. Since each university and college has limited capacity, entrance exam or academic requirements allows to admission officers to give admission to students who meet academic requirements or are accepted in entrance exam.
In the second place, there is not denying the fact that the universities and colleges have a great impact on folks’ life. Governments have made a significant investment in establishment of colleges. Therefore, it makes sense that they would seek out students who are talented. In other word, these limited facilities and resources that are offered in the colleges should be reserved only for students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
In the third place, when students are required to take entrance exam or meet academic requirements, they will put their effort in to their studying during school to be able have a chance to be accepted in a college or a university. For example, throughout my time in school, I worked hard order to get admission from the most prestigious and best engineering college. This encourage students to show a good performance during the school, since entering the college is essential to students, they will try to study hard to prepare themselves for entrance exam or have good grade to satisfy academic requirements.
